But that is all about to change. The Department of Finance Administration announced Monday, March 3, that residents can now go online to mydmv.arkansas.gov and make an appointment.

Arkansas is preparing for the May 2025 REAL ID deadline by opening certain offices on April 26.

The DFA said supplies for REAL IDs are quickly running out, prompting overnight shipments. Arkansas and other states are facing this same issue, creating a nationwide need for the products.
