Christopher Duckworth, a 16-year-old Boy Scout from Islip, completed one of Long Island’s most ambitious hikes on July 19: eastern Long Island’s 125-mile Paumanok Path.

On Tuesday, a map was released for a 173-mile trail from the city to the East End. The trail will not infringe on any private property and will run along public roads, and in off-road areas.
