A helicopter registered to the National Nuclear Security Administration was spotted flying a grid pattern over Red Rock Canyon for hours, raising questions from local residents.

The Federal Aviation Administration reported it is investigating an incident on Thursday involving a laser aimed at a Black Hawk helicopter operated by the National Guard.
