The Blue Note Los Angeles jazz club, which sits alongside Sunset Boulevard, held its grand opening with a performance by Robert Glasper on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025.

That was eventually shortened to Dodgers, with the white script 'B' on the royal blue caps. The club played in Brooklyn through the 1957 season. In 1958, they became the L.A. Dodgers.
