Chris Frank joined “Kansas Today” to talk about “Kansas Ghost Towns” airing on KPTS. Frank spoke about his upcoming show on the look of Kansas towns that faded away.

One of the only remaining buildings in the ghost town of Clements, Kansas, is for sale for $95,000. The building, once a post office and general store, has original flooring and tin ceilings.

Other states with a large number of ghost towns are California with 346 and Kansas with 308. Rhode Island and Connecticut are home to the fewest, with just one and four, according to a release.

Resources at the KSHS, like the Kansas Dead Town List put together by Mary Montgomery during the 1940s, offer a good starting point for students to begin their research.
