The country’s premier medical school has lost money for years and leans heavily on research dollars that are now under threat from the White House.

President Donald Trump launched a new broadside on Harvard University, attacking its lawyer, who’s also represented him, and accusing the school of being a “liberal mess.”

Harvard University President Alan Garber told NBC's Lester Holt in an interview last night why the school had "no choice" but to sue the federal government and reject Trump's list of "critical reforms" to continue receiving federal grants and funding.
