According to the National Wildlife Federation, the winter of 2024-2025 was the worst on record for western monarch butterflies.
The survey, conducted in Mexico, showed that the monarch population has doubled from last year, with approximately 4.42 acres of forest now inhabited by these butterflies.
The round trip to and from Mexico spans several generations for these large and colorful butterflies. We must do our part by providing the plants that sustain the various stages of their lives.
