CINCINNATI — NFL Network's Ian Rapoport appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday and gave the latest positive update on negotiations between the Bengals and their star wide receivers. Rapoport notes it will "sting" cost-wise, but he thinks the Bengals will sign both Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to long-term extensions.

Hence, the Bengals taking some serious heat for not getting contracts done earlier. It's still great news that an insider thinks both deals will get done, but the cost of doing so continues to go up by the day, which isn't ideal with the Trey Hendrickson situation unresolved and other needs across the roster.
