Veronica Fraley, a U.S. discus thrower at the Paris Olympics, was having financial trouble back home. Flavor Flav and Alexis Ohanian helped pay off her rent for the year.
Fraley returned to the Reds’ lineup for good on May 3, and he’s fully healthy now, despite an ongoing cough. His biggest concern in May has been building his strength back up.
Fraley, 24, recorded top-20 finishes in the discus throw at the World Championships in 2022 and 2023. Earlier this year, she won the 2024 NCAA Championship in discus with a throw of 63.66.
Fraley's throw of 63.66 meters won her the title by 0.61 meters over Jayden Ulrich of Louisville. Fraley was named SEC Field Athlete of the Year and won the shot put at the SEC championships.
