The group of migrants included 10 men, two women and a teenager. The migrants’ ages ranged from 16 to 44 years old. The migrants had been at the stash house for a day, officials said.

The stash house, which featured an altar to the Santa Muerte, hid "vile and horrific crimes" allegedly committed by members of a transnational border smuggling group, U.S. and Mexican officials said.

They arrested 13 migrants, nine from Mexico and four from Guatemala, and an alleged American smuggler at a Central El Paso house. The house had been rented out on Airbnb.
