Known as false kamani nuts, or tropical almonds, they fall from tall, shady Terminalia catappa trees that line the many picturesque ocean views on the island.

Terminalia catappa leaves have been found to have anti-parasitic, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, and thus keep the water free from pathogens, resulting in healthier and stronger fish.
