Police shot and killed an armed man at one of the world's biggest international airports on Thursday, local time.

The shooting happened shortly before 7 a.m. after police received a call from a member of the public about a dispute involving two or three people, Peel police Chief Nishan Duraiappah said.

The police said that the man had displayed a firearm. The shooting caused a partial shutdown of Canada’s busiest airport.
