One month after an EF-2 tornado touched down in Sipsey, many homes still have tarps on the roof and fallen trees in the front yard. Other homes were destroyed, and the community is working to rebuild.

"The roof's gone and it's a brick house. The south side were pushing in. I don't know. Deck's gone. We had a covered deck.

A Douglas County resident detailed the harrowing moments when a tornado destroyed his home in Thursday night's storm. "There wasn't much warning," Joe Adams said.
