Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has named a new principal of Ardrey Kell High School following the controversial suspension and retirement of its former leader.

Dr. Susan Nichols has been appointed as the new principal of Ardrey Kell High School in Ballantyne, following the controversial suspension and retirement of former principal Jamie Brooks last month.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools posted a video to its YouTube page Wednesday announcing a new principal of Ardrey Kell High School.

Dr. Susan Nichols is the new principal at Ardrey Kell High School. The announcement comes after weeks of frustration from parents, students and teachers.
