First responders found a woman dead on the floor of the Avon home with visible injuries and signs of a struggle, the Norfolk DA's office said.

Thadeus Joseph, 22, is now charged with killing his mother Astrid in their home in Avon, Massachusetts Tuesday.

Avon police and fire officials responded at 4:22 p.m. to the Nichols Avenue home after a 911 call “from a household member about an unresponsive female in need of medical assistance,” according to a statement from the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

A 22-year-old Avon man will appear in court on Wednesday morning for murder charges in connection with the killing of a 53-year-old woman on Tuesday evening. Thadeus A. Joseph, 22, of Avon is expected to be arraigned in Stoughton District Court on March 5. He is charged with murder, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

A man arrested in connection with the killing of a woman inside her Avon home will face a judge on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
