The Chicago Bears are retooling their offensive line, making two trades in less than 24 hours acquiring two former Pro Bowl linemen. The first of the two trades saw Chicago send a sixth-round pick to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for offensive guard Jonah Jackson, a former Pro Bowl selection during his time with the Detroit Lions.

The Rams allowed Jackson to seek a trade after losing his job. He'll reunite with Bears coach Ben Johnson, who coached him in Detroit.

The new Bears lineman had virtually no time practicing before a position switch with the Rams and then an injury, but Chicago has a feisty, physical performer.
