The U.S. Supreme Court ordered the Trump administration nearly two weeks ago to facilitate Abrego Garcia’s return to the U.S., rejecting the White House’s claim that it couldn’t retrieve him after mistakenly deporting him.

President Trump’s aides have dug in on insisting that Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia was lawfully sent to a prison in El Salvador after the administration had admitted to an “administrative error.”

A day after a judge ordered the DOJ to more fully address the wrongful deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the administration has asked to pause discovery in the case.
