A Detroit rapper is suing rideshare company Lyft after a driver allegedly refused to give her a ride because of her weight.

Detroit-based rapper Dank Demoss has alleged that a Lyft driver refused her a ride because of her weight. She's now suing Lyft.

A Michigan woman called for a Lyft ride but instead got a blatant rejection over her weight. Dajua Blanding, with a stage persona known as Dank Demoss, shared the moment where a driver told her she was too big to fit in his Mercedes-Benz and his “tires were not capable.

I was embarrassed and I felt some type of way about it,” the 29-year-old said of the ordeal. “I haven’t really left my house since that.”

A Lyft driver refused to allow a paying customer in his vehicle because he thought she was too big to fit in his car.

Detroit rapper Dank Demoss, whose real name is Dajua Blanding, sued Lyft after one of its drivers allegedly refused to let her in his car and canceled her ride, citing her weight.

Dejua Blanding, aka rapper "Dank Demoss," is suing Lyft after she recorded a Detroit driver denying her ride due to her weight. WDIV's Jacqueline Francis reports.

Dajua Blanding said a Lyft driver rejected her ride once he saw her size, allegedly telling her his tires wouldn't be able to handle her weight. Blanding is now pursuing a lawsuit for discrimination.
