According to Teicher, Mahomes led Kansas City's running backs and wide receivers through a passing camp in Texas this week as he looks to ignite the offense heading into offseason workouts. The group featured receivers Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown.

The news in recent months regarding Rice, however, has been positive. Chiefs coach Andy Reid told The Star at the NFL Annual Meetings earlier this month that Rice was expected to be ready to go for training camp starting in July. Rice has also shared progress videos of his workouts on social media as he’s continued to work toward full strength.
