Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will announce his plans to phase out artificial food dyes from the American food supply on Tuesday.

Kennedy, Jr., is expected to announce the Food and Drug Administration’s intent to phase out the use of petroleum-based synthetic dyes in the nation’s food supply - and its coloring used in many common foods.

Kennedy has railed against Big Food and Big Pharma and blamed the nation’s “chronic disease epidemic” on the two industries.
