Cincinnati forward Dillon Mitchell is the latest player to join Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino at St. John's, the Red Storm announced Wednesday. The 6-foot-8 Mitchell averaged 9.9 points and 6.9 rebounds last season for the Bearcats. He ranked 10th in the nation with 66 dunks.

The Red Storm now have the No. 1 transfer portal class this offseason, per Travis Branham of 247Sports, after adding Ian Jackson (No. 9 overall), Bryce Hopkins (No. 19), Joson Sanon (No. 25), Dillon Mitchell (No. 61) and Oziyah Sellers (No. 121).

During his time at St. John’s, Pitino compiled a remarkable 526-200 record. He captured the Big East regular season title five times and won the conference tournament twice. In 1985, St. John’s reached the NCAA Tournament Final Four, and the team claimed the NIT championship in 1989.
