Alaska’s Emergency Operations Center has cancelled an annual test of the system responsible for alerting Alaskans about potential tsunamis.
Alaska had two magnitude 6.3 earthquakes in 2024, and they were the state’s largest quakes for the year, according to the Alaska Earthquake Center.
