The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo announced a new arrival just in time for the new year: a baby Hoffman’s two-toed sloth born to 9-year-old Aysan on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

There are no plans for a name at this time. The baby was born on December 18, and the zoo says it seems strong. The sloth has been learning to traverse in its mom, Aysan's stomach.
