New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art came alive with tributes to Black history, culture and style as the annual Met Gala got underway Monday evening.

Keeping with the night's theme, the actress balanced menswear with an ethereal, feminine cape from Chanel, inspired by a look in the house's fall/winter 2025 couture collection. According to the brand, the look took over 400 hours to make.
