The European Commission Wednesday fined Apple and Meta $570.85 million and $228.34 million respectively for breach of the EU Digital Markets Act.

The European Union’s competition watchdog has fined Apple 500 million euros or 570 million dollars. Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta was also slapped with a fine of $228 million by the EU antitrust regulators. The American Big Tech were penalized for breaching the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA), which ensures smaller rivals have a market share.
