Harvard University announced Monday that it has filed suit to halt a federal freeze on more than $2.2 billion in grants after the institution said it would defy the Trump administration’s demands to limit activism on campus.

Harvard is just the latest elite education institution targeted by the Trump Administration to try to force compliance with its agenda.

Alan Garber, the Ivy League institution’s president, said the university wouldn’t forfeit its “independence or relinquish its constitutional rights.”
