PETERSBURG – Vernon Johns Middle School eighth grader Jonathan Phillips already knows he’s interested in a career in physics.

The Sherando High School softball team hadn’t played a game in nearly two weeks, but that didn’t stop the Warriors’ bats from coming out hot against James Wood on Tuesday.
