A Pennsylvania pediatrician is hiking across the Commonwealth with the hope of raising over $30,000 for two foundations. Dr.

The Mid-State Trail is 331 miles. Dr. Wesner says he started training for the long hike last November, wearing a weighted vest on the treadmill and hiking trails across Central Pennsylvania.

Wesner will begin his hike of the Mid State Trail on April 27 and will aim to average 16.5 miles per day to finish the trip in about four weeks.
