The enshrinement at New York’s Marriott Marquis came just one day after it was confirmed that his brilliant bandmate — and cousin — Brian Wilson died at 82.

During his high school years, Wilson formed a group known as The Pendeltones, which would later become The Beach Boys, alongside his brothers, their cousin, Mike Love, and a classmate, Al Jardine.
