Sixteen teams in total make the NBA playoffs, eight teams from both the Eastern and Western Conferences. The top six seeds in each conference advance based on the regular season record. The final two seeds in each conference are wild-card spots based on the best remaining records in each conference.

The theme of the weekend was that if you thought that these first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series were going to be short affairs, well, think again. Of the six teams to take a 2-0 series lead, only one was in position to get the sweep after Game 3 -- that didn't happen -- and so far two other clubs have evened their series after a pair of home-ice victories in Games 3 and 4.
