Nearly 40 years ago, a small group of women on Camano Island gathered to share their love of quilting. They became known as the Camano Island Quilters and began meeting regularly.

Jo Lou Catron celebrated 25 years in the quilting and fabric business with a celebration Tuesday at Stitch n Quilt Fabrics in Yakima. The store moved into a new location at 61 W. Nob Hill Blvd.
