Football fans are well aware by now of Edelman's journey on the gridiron. A quarterback at Kent State, he transitioned to wide receiver in the pros after the Pats selected him in the seventh round of the 2009 draft.

Julian Edelman orchestrated some of the New England Patriots’ most legendary plays and moments on the biggest stage. Now the undersized QB-turned-WR will have a red jacket to show for it.

Edelman played 11 seasons, all with the Patriots, after being a lightly regarded quarterback prospect. He won three Super Bowls and earned MVP honors in his final one.
