Former Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell announced Thursday that he would not seek reelection to the Senate after his current term. McConnell has been a U.S. senator from Kentucky since 1985.

Norfolk crews continue their work to clear the roads of snow, slush and ice following a winter storm that dumped nearly a foot of snow in some parts of the city.

Since Hampton Roads doesn't get snow often, most local governments don't have many city resources dedicated to snow removal.
