There’s a part of me that thinks Disney wishes they could just scrap their Snow White live action remake altogether. From the very beginning, the movie has been embroiled in self-inflicted controversy.

When Rachel Zegler stepped onto the red carpet at the world premiere of Disney’s “Snow White” on Saturday afternoon in Hollywood, the newest Disney princess was greeted by a smaller-than-usual assembly of photographers to capture her light pink ballgown and dazzling diamonds.

Disney is reportedly scaling back the premiere of its upcoming live-action remake of Snow White, following a number of controversies which have plagued the film over the past four years. Newsweek has reached out to Disney via email outside of regular working hours for comment.
