Arike Ogunbowale set a new career-high with 14 assists as the Dallas Wings defeated the New York Liberty on Monday night.
The Dallas Wings pulled off a surprise win Monday night, taking down the defending WNBA champions, the New York Liberty, 92–82. Leading the way was Arike Ogunbowale, who delivered a career-defining performance that rewrote the franchise record books.
Ogunbowale was even more impressive. The four-time All-Star made WNBA history by registering a 15-point, 10-assist double-double in the first half. Ogunbowale finished with 20 points, a career-high 14 assists, a steal and two triples.
The Dallas Wings pulled off a massive upset win over the New York Liberty on Monday night, winning 92-82. This game was basically over at halftime, as Dallas went into the locker room with a 63-36 lead. That was a big enough differential for the Wings to score just 7 points in the 4th quarter and still win by double digits.
Jonquel Jones had 18 points for the Liberty (17-8), who were playing without Breanna Stewart because of a right leg injury and lost their second straight.
