Bayer Leverkusen beat Augsburg 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday to postpone leaders Bayern Munich's expected title win by at least a week.

Bayern needed a win over Mainz and favor from Augsburg against Leverkusen to be crowned champion on Saturday, but goals from Patrik Schick and Emiliano Buendia gave Leverkusen a 2-0 win and kept the defending champion eight points behind Bayern with three rounds remaining.

Bayer Leverkusen's 2-0 win over Augsburg has postponed Bayern Munich's potential title celebration by at least a week. Bayern still lead by eight points with three games remaining, but can clinch their 34th league title with a win at RB Leipzig next week.
