ROCKWOOD, MI -- An 18-year-old Newport man has been charged after he allegedly made numerous threats toward the Rockwood Police Department. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced Friday she has charged Jason Alexander-David Stacy in connection with the alleged threats.

Stockebrand works as part of a small crew near Crater Lake, as one of many Oregon Department of Transportation employees who maintain thousands of miles of roads, logging long hours in the winter and keeping highways safe throughout the year.

The Trump administration is appealing a court order blocking mass layoffs and other changes at the Education Department.

The Education Department's notice comes after a federal judge last month ordered it to reinstate nearly 1,400 recently fired employees.

"Almost everything the Department of Education does is unconstitutional," McCluskey says. "The Constitution gives the federal government only specific, enumerated powers, and authority to govern in education is not among them. So almost all the spending and activities should go away."
