Ryan Gosling, directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, author Andy Weir and screenwriter Drew Goddard debuted various clips from the first third of the sci-fi movie that hits theaters March 20, 2026. Gosling stars as Ryland Grace, a middle school teacher who finds himself in outer space and tasked with saving humanity.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Comic-Con got a lot of Ryan and a little bit of Rocky at a panel on “Project: Hail Mary,” the forthcoming film that’s equal parts space adventure, real-science deep-dive, broad comedy and relationship drama.

"This was the most rewarding creative collaboration of our careers," co-director Christopher Miller told Hall H.
