IO Interactive has announced the new title of its much-anticipated James Bond game, confirming it will be named 007 First Light. The firm also said it would host its own showcase event, where it will share further details regarding its upcoming titles, such as Hitman and MindsEye.

One of the big new hires for First Light is Rodrigo Santoro, a former Ubisoft veteran who joined IO in 2024 to become missions director for the James Bond game. Santoro said he was happy to join IO to work on the James Bond game, saying most companies are making sequels, so he's excited for a new challenge.
