Los Angeles County union workers are entering their third day on strike after failed contract negotiations for better pay.

More than 50,000 Los Angeles County workers are walking picket lines to demand higher pay. The strike Tuesday caused closures or disruptions at libraries, healthcare clinics and administrative offices across the nation’s most populous county.

A new wildfire was reported today at 1:17 p.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. At this time, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.
