Two-time Gold Glove shortstop Nick Ahmed and outfielder Sam Haggerty will go to major league spring training with the Texas Rangers.

Haggerty appeared in eight games in 2024 due to a torn Achilles tendon he suffered in May while playing for Seattle’s Triple-A affiliate.

The Texas Rangers announced today that they have signed veteran infielder Nick Ahmed and veteran outfielder Sam Haggerty to minor league contracts with an invitation to the major league camp. Ahmed is a 34 year old who seemingly has been around forever.
