Brown and the Syracuse staff have struck again, quickly adding former Notre Dame's Steve Angeli to bolster depth in the quarterback room. As with McCord, the Orange staff didn't need many introductory conversations with the Fighting Irish quarterback.

Angeli arrived at Notre Dame as a 3-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings, but rarely saw significant playing time during three seasons. In fact, he ended up throwing just 80 combined passes during his time with the Fighting Irish.
