The Washington Commanders may be an arch rival to the Philadelphia Eagles, but their quarterbacks clearly take a lot from each other. When Jalen Hurts came up as Philly's franchise signal-caller, the former Oklahoma star coined the phrase "keeping the main thing the main thing" as a way to say he is only focusing on what he can control as the team's starting quarterback.

Not only because everyone knew the Washington Commanders were set to take franchise-altering, Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels with the second overall pick. That pick was one of nine made to help kick off the new era led by general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn.
