San Antonio was the host city for this week's episode of "WWE SmackDown," which served as a major building block as the promotion heads toward the first two-night SummerSlam in WWE history.

The first match of the night got started right away instead of an opening promo segment. Charlotte Flair took on Raquel Rodriguez with Alexa Bliss and Roxanne Perez in their respective corners.

AJ Styles is coming home for the first time in nearly 12 years. TNA President Carlos Silva announced on Friday morning that "The Phenomenal One" would be making his return to the company, appearing at this coming Sunday's Slammiversary event.
