Heating pole barn w/stove | Hearth.com Forums Home
Jan 10, 2006 · A friend has a large pole barn type building that houses his business, it is at least 60 x 100, with some insulation. He has a stove that is about 5' round and 5' tall, I think it is an industrial coal burner from long long ago, as it looks ancient! It keeps his place warm, but eats vast quantities of wood!

Too much ash in burn pot? | Hearth.com Forums Home
Oct 9, 2014 · I have a Harman Advance, and it seems like too much ash is building up in the burn pot. I am wondering if this is a problem that I need to address, or if it is normal. I am running it on room temp, low and have my feed rate set to about 3.5 right now. The stove is keeping the house the temperature it is supposed to be at.
White powder building up inside gas insert - Hearth.com Forums
Jul 27, 2007 · My gas insert is about 2 years old. There is an ashy white powder building up inside the unit on the walls (there are fake brick panels on the back and side walls) and also on the top (inside). Is this due to some contaminant in my gas supply, or perhaps a sign of air leaking into the unit around the seal on the front of the unit ? Thanks.

Nov 22, 2021 · The duct fan on mine never runs continuously, the max on time for the blower is maybe 5-8 minutes before the plenum cools to the low temp cutoff. I think you are only using two ~8" circles of the 20x20 air filter and the whole system is just choked for airflow.
