Cherelle Lesley Parker (born September 9, 1972) [2] is an American politician who has served as the 100th mayor of Philadelphia since 2024. She is the first woman to hold the office. [3] [4] Parker served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2005 to 2015, representing the 200th district in Northwest Philadelphia.

On January 2, 2024, Cherelle Parker was inaugurated as the 100th mayor of Philadelphia, becoming the first woman to lead the city and hold the office in 341 years.

Councilmember Cherelle L. Parker proudly serves the Ninth Council District in Philadelphia, which stretches through northwest and northeast communities, including East Mt. Airy, West Oak Lane, East Oak Lane, Olney, Lawncrest, Lawndale, Burholme and Oxford Circle.
