Jul 6, 2009 · We went up into the Grande Mesa area last year. There's so many lakes (over 100) it is best to stay 4-5 days. There are lakes every 1/4 mile. You'll get so excited at the possibilities! You'll think your in northern Canada. We had good luck fishing the inlet at Atkinson. Forty Acre Lake is another good one. Stop into the visitors center also.

Feb 1, 2017 · Fishing in February isn't "good" anywhere. EDIT: Read your post as "Gunnison" for some reason. Not much for tailwater fishing in Junction, but you have the Colorado river. Bring your fly gear. Good luck on your outdoor adventures.

Jun 27, 2010 · Nice fish Ouray. We fished brookies on Grand Mesa today too, but a bit further east from that lake. We hiked in and caught about 25 fish total, some pretty nice ones topping out at 14 inches. 3 inch chartruese mister twister was the ticket for us. Consistant color with your fishies. Nice work!

Oct 22, 2005 · I fished the Grand Mesa Mesa today it was clear and in the high 40s. The brooktrout are spawning and are stacked up in the inlets. Here is a pic of a few I kept. I caught them with a small brown tube jig with 4lb test line.
